POSTSCRIPT: When I lived in San Francisco in 1975, anti-smoking passed. When I visited L.A. in 1997, anti-smoking passed. Although I am a fan of the above posted 'D' piece, debating anti-smoking ordinanced a third century after it became routine elsewhere in the USA strikes me as a pinch embarrassing. Like still not quite beliving that ALL the dinosaurs died 'back then'.

PSS: When I became state poet in Alababa in 1976, only the sniors had gone to segregated schools since desegregated schools became the law there in the mid 60s. When I returned to Dallas around 1980, Dallas was still fighting desegregation and it took Barefoot Sanders to make it happen. Do I see a pattern here?
