Trey
That was the best article on the American family situations I have ever read. This took a lot of courage to write. This article in right in line with the black activist, Star Parker’s writings.

There is no question that well intentioned government programs invented to help people out of poverty has made the problem worse and created irresponsible behavior in poor and disadvantaged families. Tragically we are continuing down this path. All fathers no matter what race creed or ethnic background have tremendous responsibility to our children and probably more so to our sons than daughters. Even a marginal Father is better than no father at all.
The situation can be slightly improved with uncles and grandfathers but it is just not the same.

Thanks again for the well written article. I wonder how many people will call you racist?

"It takes just a few hours a month to make a difference in a young person’s life."

That's what Michael Jackson said.

Glad you posted this...I think Tom* would agree that the benefits go way past the kid. When we step up and give our time...it benefits us.
