I am constantly amazed at the people who swallow this, yet can’t really explain the science other than CO2 goes up so does temperature. They don’t bother to understand that the only evidence comes from computer models that have proven to be inaccurate and do not mimic the actual climate. What is further astounding is that people have no understand that on variable is incapable of driving the climate as the AGW crowd says it does. Al Gore aught to be put on trial for perpetrating one of the biggest frauds in history and making a bundle in doing so.
Ya know what’s even worse, some of the people I know who know about such things say that the trends over the last 100 years actually indicate that CO2 goes up in response to temperature increase, and not the reverse. Something to do with increasing use of temperature control in buildings….

Wow, Trey discovered our real agenda! Guess we’ll have to work faster now to get all that wealth redistributed before Trey and the ‘libertarians” get their real agenda enacted.

Far too much of the denier literature isn’t peer reviewed science, but opinion. Good strategy, it worked great for the tobacco companies. Politicizing the issue has also been good strategy, especially for the energy companies. Sun caused warming has been debunked in the scientific literature, btw, if you care to look it up.
Taxing carbon only works if the $ are invested in developing alternatives. Economics drives the consumption. Consumers will choose alternatives only when they become cheaper than the current fossil fuel based systems. If its more expensive consumers won’t want it, pollution or sea-level be damned.
Don’t think you’re right, Don, re: the effect of the sun, but I always appreciate your perspective and insight into an opposing POV.
The science of the “deniers†is, if anything, subjected to far greater scrutiny and review than that of those who are proponents of anthropogenic climate change. If the pro-global warming scientists WERE getting the same level of scrutiny as the “deniers,†then there would be far more of their studies being found to be flawed, irrelevant, or outright fraudulent.
