True to some extent…but Bush was in favor of the United States general. He was on our side. He wanted us to win, and he thought our allies in Eastern Europe were important, that Castro and Chavez were bad and that Iran having a nuke was a bad idea.

Protesters who attended Saturday’s Tea Party rally in Washington found a new reason to be upset: Apparently they are unhappy with the level of service provided by the subway system.

Rep. Kevin Brady asked for an explanation of why the government-run subway system didn’t, in his view, adequately prepare for this past weekend’s rally to protest government spending and government services.

Seriously.

The Texas Republican on Wednesday released a letter he sent to Washington’s Metro system complaining that the taxpayer-funded subway system was unable to properly transport protesters to the rally to protest government spending and expansion.

I didn’t like Bush’s domestic spending and or the vast increase in regulations that were written during his administration. I believe the number of new regulations under Bush came to about 70K. I don’t like the spending under Obama either. Nor do I like the forays into the private sector that our government is taking in finance, insurance, the auto companies and soon, likely, healthcare. The issues aren’t about Obama, but he has made himself very much front and center of all these issues. He has made it about himself.

“Tea Party” leader Mark Williams appeared on a CNN panel on “Anderson Cooper 360″ last night and promptly set to work discrediting himself and his movement. Williams denounced those carrying blatantly racist signs against President Obama during the tea parties as “no more part of the mainstream of America than the hippies who wear nipple clips and feather boas in San Francisco streets during so-called peace demonstrations.”

Cooper had done his homework, however, and caught Williams blatantly misrepresenting himself: “What you’re saying makes sense to me here when I’m hearing what you say but then I read on your blog, you say, you call the President an Indonesian Muslim turned welfare thug and a racist in chief.”

Williams shrugs and responds, “Yeah, that’s the way he’s behaving.” An incredulous Cooper asks Williams if he really believes Obama is an Indonesian Muslim and a welfare thug. The tea party leader digs the hole a little deeper: “He’s certainly acting like it. Until he embraces the whole country what else can I conclude.”

Honestly, I went to the event in Ft. Worth… those people are the opposite of racist.
Rednecky… some, White trashy… quite a bit, regular folks MOSTLY, Black.. some… but mainly overall individuals who are sick of big government spending, and most that I spoke with are sick of Republicans and Democrats,

I think this really shouldn’t be about Obama, Obama, Obama, it should be about the issues, and what we do or don’t like about them. Focusing on the person… as with George Bush as well, is not helpful… George Bush didn’t set his policy and neither does Obama. They are just the mouth piece.
Let’s stop the crap and focus on the issues.
You would be surprised how similar Bush and Obama are on core issues.
