"Yes, Ms. Rosenbaum was an asset to the Soviets"

Evidence please! I am sure that one of the Soviet Union's most vociferous critics was a huge asset to them. Have you even read her works? Or are you simply reacting to her atheism?

Yes, Ms. Rosenbaum was an asset to the Soviets--not a hard asset like Alger Hiss, nor a sympathetic propagandist like Walter Duranty, but something in between.

"KGB archives clearly document the fact that the so-called libertarianism movement in the United States was funded and directed from Moscow"

@Praise . . .
So, can you kindly provide a link for that factoid.
Libertarianism arguably traces its origins to Ayn Rand, a refuge of communist Russia, who was one of it's most vocal critics. She was an atheist, an individualist and harbored a fierce love for her adopted country's dedication to freedom of the individual as set for in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
I'm no atheist, but I know that your brand of religious belief is a huge danger.

1. Finding footage of some terminally angry dyke proves nothing. That gnarly beast had probably already spat on the mailman, a waiter, two bicycle couriers and a hot-dog stand guy that day.

2. The "uber-liberal" who wrote the book soundly discrediting this toxic meme was himself a Vietnam vet.

3. I'm sure some vet, somewhere, was spat upon. (But not "right after getting off the plane," as this urban myth always has it. How did so many hippies gain admittance to military airports? And how did so many strong young men fresh from combat manage to react, invariably, with decorous restraint after being spat upon?) I only hope for the spitter's sake it was, as in the clip, a woman.

4. Somebody somewhere probably got their liberal marching orders wrong, Emily Litella-style, and sallied forth to go spit on their veterinarian.

Daniel,

<I>"Oh, please, Dallasite. Of the many, many Vietnam vets I’ve known, not one has claimed he was treated poorly by his peers upon his return. "</I>

Oh, since you know so many Vietnam vets that weren't spit on, I guess it couldn't have happened, huh?

<I>"It’s a fuckin’ hoax "</I>

You say it didn't happen, and a few uber-liberals write books claiming it didn't happen, so it must not have happened... yeah, right. Daniel, you know it happened. I personally have seen liberals in Austin call soldiers "baby killers," and this was before 9-11. It's a mob mentality among a social group that despises the military.

KGB archives clearly document the fact that the so-called libertarianism movement in the United States was funded and directed from Moscow, with the intent of undermining the three pillars of America: God, the family, and nationalism.

When 90% of libertarian positions -- f*ck everyone and everything, oppose all war, oppose all state security measures, use and abuse any substance you like, oppose religion -- are straight out of the communist playbook for destroying America, I don't see why libertarians would oppose one of their fellow leftists giving a speech to schoolchildren.

P.S. You have to try pretty hard to find offense in the insipid pablum that was Obama's speech.

P.P.S. Is it true Libertarians are on heroin?

Oh, please, Dallasite. Of the many, many Vietnam vets I've known, not one has claimed he was treated poorly by his peers upon his return. It's a fuckin' hoax -- the equivalent to saying When conservatives stop lynching Negoes ...

That said, I will concede that those new, longer hairstyles and the -- what do they call them -- "rock festivals" can be quite shocking. I can attest that there is nudity at these immoral gatherings; I drove fourteen miles to see if I could see a naked hippie girl, and when I did, you'd better believe I promptly contacted the police. Well, fairly promptly. I'm what's been recently coined "The Silent Majority."

As for Obama's creepy collectivism -- well, yeah, it is a <i>little</i> creepy. But the reality is, globalism being what it is, the rest of the world (notably the Indian subcontinent) will likely soon stop suffering from Brain Drain. By the time our kids are our age, this nation will quite possibly be left us to its own best and brightest. And something like half of Americans don't believe in evolution -- this is the state of affairs, mate. Twenty percent of 18-year-olds can't find the USA on a map. We're probably doomed, but if Obama wants schoolkids to win one for the Gipper, whatevs.
